How much ZOOM did you have to use? I don't like spiders, either, but this looks like a small spider BLOWN UP.
The spider was small. But big enough for me to take the picture with my arms extended and face no where near the camera. Kind of point and shoot, you know?

You need a motorized microscope, a dedicated digital camera, good lighting, and appropriate software to take a worthy picture of this subject...
